Ocean Chant

It's the end of the year, can't believe how busy we are, but
please, someone out there, please tell me you remember this one!

I taught the Spanish version to my Kinders last week with the good old hand clap game,

but it was totally foreign to them.

So parents, if you remember, maybe you can help me out.

It's a goodie, but boy oh boy I hope it's not that much of any oldie.

Open House was a great success!

A huge thanks to all my students who proudly showed their parents all the work

Each reading group interactively wrote and painted an ocean animal.

We sponge painted our sea horses and used tissue paper for our fishies.

Colorful jellyfish really added an ocean atmosphere.

Students wrote about each animal in their Sea Animal Journals.

More divers and pictorial input charts.

Sea Animal Project

Our Kinder students will be required to do a Sea Animal Project.

This will include a written report, diorama, and an oral presentation.

I know it seems like a lot to do for 5 year olds,

but this has become a project that both parents and students enjoy.

Below you'll find an example of the English version.

Please note, it's slightly different than the Spanish version that is required by K3.
