The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Museum Outreach program visited our school a couple of weeks ago.

Our Kinders learned a lot and had a lot of fun!

Seasons

I teach English Language Development (ELD) daily.

During our weather unit I did this pictorial input chart.

The goal is to develop vocabulary and to have students respond in complete sentences.

Students did their individual chart and shared in small groups.

Okay, so here are my seasonal vocabulary charts.

I try to draw the key words for the season, 

and while I would have to say I accomplished my goal,

they're just not as cute as my pals.

But I think I get the job done :)

What I'm Reading

I just started reading Water for Elephants

I have to admit, I wasn't really interested when I heard about this movie.  

I like Reese Witherspoon, but initially I thought, really?  Isn't she too old for "Edward"?

Well, I saw a preview and was totally hooked.

I do love a good love story.

And when a local book club decided to choose this book,

well, who am I to just walk away, let's give Reese and Edward, I mean Robert a chance.

I've gotten really behind in my reading,

unless reading blogs counts :)

All that's missing is my cup of coffee.
