10 Things I Want To Do This Summer

I'm down to my last 3 days of school, summer's so close I can almost smell it :)
I do love a good linky, so thought I'd join the fun!

1.  Watch some really great shows, first up, finish season 3 of
I'm a little late jumping on this train.  I kept seeing thumbs up on Instagram, gave it a try during Easter, and was elated Netflix finally got season 3!  I need me some of her purses :)

2.  Clean, organize, declutter some more!  I have this same table and bench, but this room is waaaay cleaner than mine, hence pinterest pix ;)  Did I mention I have 5 kids in our small but cozy home?

3.  Spend more time here with my kids.
I love spending the day watching them play.  I always take a book, but never seem to read more than a couple of pages.

4.  Read more.  Like, Deanna, I love reading PD books.  But, I love getting lost in a good book.  Thinking about
but I might just watch the show.   I don't know, I love a good romance, so I definitely need some suggestions.

5.  SCRAPBOOK!!!  My goal was to be caught up by the time my last baby graduated, but considering she's graduating in a couple of days and I'm on 2006, I don't think I'm going to make it.
I love scrappin!  I know it's old school and I'm slowly moving towards digital, but there's something about flipping pictures and reminiscing that I just love!

6.  Possibly get season passes to
my cutie pie went for the first time this spring and loved it!  And since Disneyland is no longer doing season passes, this is a great option!  Plus it's a lot cheaper :)

7.  Go to more museums.
My cutie pie has definitely inherited her daddy's talent :)

8.  Learn to use my camera.
I love this pic I took from iPhone.  My friend is considering having private photography classes, think of how much better this would be.

9.  Have nice getaway with my hubby.  Hoping to go to Las Brisas in Laguna Beach.
Loved our small wedding with those we love here 8 years ago summer :)
Must haves:  margarita, guacamole, and playa de sole!

10.  Spend as much time with my family as I can.
I'll have 4 kids in college and one in first grade.  Time seems to be flying by, seems like yesterday they were all shorter than me.  I am blessed with a wonderful family and I want to make the most of every day :)

Can't wait to see what everyone is planning.  Can't wait for suuuuuuuummmmer!

And The Countdown Begins

7 days of school left, whaaaaaat?!
Oh my, I cannot even believe it, I'm trying not to think too much about it, but come one who am I kidding?

I was able to put all my student books

and all of my library books away... YAHOO
I filled 4 boxes! I swear I keep giving books away, but I still have so many.
(Ok, ok, so maybe I didn't give any books away this year :)
Don't worry padres, my kiddos still have their Treasures book, so there's still plenty to read :)

And this is the storm before the calm, yeah I know, it's supposed to be the other way around, but seems like the more I put away, the more stuff I have left to put away, wait, what?

This week is going to be crazy busy!

Monday- First Grade Assemblies
Tuesday- Math Training
Wednesday- Class Cards AND report cards due
Thursday- Field Day
Friday- End of the Year Awards Assembly

Whew!  I'm pooped already :)

Sunday Reflections

Can you believe I got sick...again?!
I had 5 kids out Thursday, 2 on Friday, and yesterday afternoon was my turn.  Some awful stomach bug going around.  Thankfully, I'm getting better.

Before I got sick, I spent the morning with a chai tea latte and addressing announcements.  My kids are seniors and graduate on our last day of school.  Ayyy, the realization of my baby girl graduating is slowly hitting me....  Well, actually my cutie pie is my baby girl, but there is a 12 year gap between my girls.  Oh, and no I don't have twins, just happens that my stepson, who lives with us, is also graduating.  Crazy, two seniors, one graduation, one happy mama :)

And yes, it's report card time.
I seriously cannot we only have 8 days of school left!
CRAZY!!!
Still left to do:
-report cards
-class profile cards
-finalize honor roll lists
-award certificates
-pack
-pack
-pack
-And prepare for a Graduation/End of year/Let summer begin PARTAAAAY!!!!!

Good luck teachers out in Bloggyland!
I know how hectic this time of year for us :)

We had our awesome Dual Immersion Spring Event today.  I always get so busy directing my own kiddos that I never have time to take pics of my own class.  But our 5th grade danza de los viejitos is always a hit!

had to post all our upcoming end of the year events on our calendar, next week we will be busy with our performance tasks, math benchmark testing, Cancer Awareness Week, Luau, and Study Island movie.  Ok, ok, breathe, breathe...

I need to seriously start planning my kids' graduation party.  Graduation in 13 days, party in 15.  Ok, really, just breathe...

cinco:
Yup, that's me.  I was in urgent care all weekend.  I missed four days of school.  Crazy how we teachers have to time our water intake with our break times, but I've learned a hard lesson, and it will definitely be more water for me.  I am just so thankful that I had a superb sub! And an awesome class, gracias amigos!

Well, that's it for me.  I have some work to do this weekend, but I will absolutely enjoy my Mother's Day Weekend :)
Feliz Día de las Madres
